2021 Spring In Person Class For New World CDC Students ONLY

There will be 20 classes in total, every Thursday from Jan 13th-June 3rd.

Class Duration: 45-60 minutes.

Location: New World CDC

There are 3 classes for different needs:

  1. Art is Fun(age 3-4): 12:30-1:15: This series of art classes are mostly with hands-on activities using diverse materials like playdough, sticks, glue, construction paper, and recycled objects.

    This class is perfect for children who have not yet mastered the functional pencil grasp, and are still working on improving fine motor skills and small muscle control. Through various materials, sensory engagement, and fun activities, we will learn to take initial steps in the world of art while simultaneously working on improving our fine motor skills.

  2. Art Adventures (age 5-6): 2:00-3:00: This series of art classes have 4 main topics:

    1. Artist of the week: Be inspired by famous artists and different styles, recreate a child's own work based on the child’s own idea.

    2. Illustrations and stories: Illustrations according to children’s literature and folk story, myth, re-create and express themselves through their art.

    3. Art Skills: Basic art knowledge through different projects and materials and media.

    4. Other fun activities: we will also learn how to make pop-up books, comics, and other fun topics.

  3. Little Artists (age 3-4): 3:30-4:30:This series of art classes are designed for children who are already displaying muscle control, can already express their idea through some simple lines. This art class will introduce some very basic art techniques with different materials, the feelings of colors and shapes and combining some children’s literature.(For example: red and orange and brown is for fall, blue is for ocean and sea and so on).
